Meet the Contributors!

Katie Barrett

A graduate from the University of Leeds and National Design Academy of Nottingham I am a young and enthused Interior Designer looking to stamp her style on the design world.  Currently working on various projects, including the complete re-design and renovation of a beautiful three storey Georgian property, I paticularly enjoy working with colour, texture and soft furnishings.

I gain inspiration from all aspects of my life but in paticular my travels to Europe, the Americas and East Asia.  This blog is my way of sharing my design ideas, inspiration and advice and hope that it helps to make Interior Design an approachable and usable tool for everyone; whatever style their home.

James Brennan
I’m an interior designer and furniture builder with a passion for sustainable design. After gaining a good grounding in interior architecture through a series of successful collaborations with various architectural practices, I decided to go my own way and set up my own furniture design company. Admittedly I am something of a design history geek and have recently put this to good use by accepting a position with the design lecturing staff at Manchester Metropolitan University.
