60 Minute Makeover 6: Easy To Change Boring into Beautiful!

Once again the 60 Minute Makeover team have transformed an ordinary and somewhat boring home into a stylish and chic living space. The team begun the makeover with the main bedroom which was dull, boring and had nothing going for it!

The feature wall was covered in soft tactile Passion purple fabric from floor to ceiling, making a real statement in the room. The soft purple tones were coordinated with trendy Passion pewter fabric and Chateaux silver curtain fabric to accentuate the accessories beautifully. Full length curtains were hung from a chrome Nikola pole to bring a touch of luxury and opulence to the room. Using fabrics which are within the same tonal ranges provides a soft and gentle look on the eye making this bedroom the perfect retreat.

The guest room looked more like a laundry room until the team set to work, transforming it into a real guest room. The soft seaside colours of blues and yellows gave the room a fresh new look which wasn’t too overbearing or loud. The window dressing was created using a stylish County pole in cream to blend naturally into the colour scheme. Harvard duckegg cushions and curtains, used in conjunction with 35mm Venetian blind in chalk gave the window a stunning look, providing privacy as well as letting natural light flood into the room.

Before the team got to work on the lounge it was more like a hall or through-way with no real focus or style. This boring room had the makeover using a monochromatic black and white colour scheme. Beautiful Orbital black curtain fabric and Orbital jet curtain fabric brought the window dressing bang up-to-date with full length curtains (hung from a stylish chrome Nikola pole) and coordinating blind. To bring a sense of balance to the room Jazz black cushions were used on the new corner sofa and matching chairs.

The team showed that with a little touch of interior design flair, new and trendy rooms can be achieved within a short space of time and without any major reconstructions of existing room sizes and shapes.
